Email your request to rohan@surfsense.com from the address your licence is registered to. You have one per licence year.

Within 5 business days we reply with yes or no and, for a yes, the scope we would build.

A request that fits about a week of engineering work and the direction of the product goes to the top of the queue, and ships in the open-source app for everyone.

There is no fixed delivery date. If we decline a request, you can send another one instead.
From checkout to unlocked plugins

Pay on Stripe
Stripe asks for your name, email and payment details. There is no account or password to create, and the licence is registered to that email.

Save your licence file
The confirmation page downloads it as
surfsense.lic, and a copy is emailed to you. Lose it later and it can be emailed again. - 3
Import it in SurfSense
Open the app, go to Settings, then License, and add the file. It is checked on your own machine, so it works offline and on every computer you install SurfSense on.

30-day refund
If the licence does not do what this site says it does, email us within 30 days of buying it and we will refund it in full.
The app never stops
When a licence expires, the plugins and priority support stop. The app and every future version of it keep working, and nothing you made with it is locked or taken away.
Checked offline
The app verifies the licence file's signature on your own machine and never contacts a licence server. Only SurfSense's plugins see your licence key, when you use them.
Open source
The app's code, the licence check included, is public on GitHub. You can read it, or build the app yourself.

What does a paid licence add?
A licence unlocks priority support and SurfSense's own plugins: Google Search, YouTube, TikTok, Google Maps, Amazon, Walmart and Indeed, plus the web crawler. Plugins are unlimited at a flat price, so nothing is metered per item and there is no credit balance to top up. A paid Individual licence also includes one feature build request a year. The licence does not lock any of the app's own features, and third-party plugins and MCP servers you add yourself need no licence.
What is a feature build request?
A paid Individual licence includes one feature build request per licence year. You email it to rohan@surfsense.com from the address the licence is registered to, and we reply within 5 business days with yes or no and the scope we would build. If it fits about a week of engineering work and the direction of the product, it goes to the top of the queue and ships in the open-source app for everyone. There is no fixed delivery date, and if we decline a request you can send another one instead.
Does the $60 early-bird price renew at $60?
No. The $60 covers the first year, and a licence after that is $120 a year, the list price. It is a single payment, not a subscription, so nothing is charged again on its own: renewing is a new licence file. Enterprise agreements are priced separately.
What happens when my licence expires?
The app keeps working. A licence expiry never disables SurfSense: your documents, your index and every local feature carry on exactly as before. Only SurfSense's own plugins stop, because they run on our servers; third-party plugins keep working. Renewing is a new licence file.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. There is no account anywhere in the purchase flow. Checkout collects an email address, the licence file is sent to it and also offered on the confirmation page, and you can have it resent to that same address at any time.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. A 30-day licence comes with the free plan. It needs only an email address, with no card and no account. You enter your email on the download page, receive a licence file, import it in Settings › License, and every SurfSense plugin is unlocked for 30 days.
$60 for your first year
Then $120 a year, the list price. One payment, not a subscription: nothing charges again on its own, and renewing is a new licence file.
